Globalimar Europa, Award for international dynamism
Along with its growth plan in Catalonia, the company is opening markets in distant geographies, such as the United States, Australia or Norway, as a new commitment to its international vocation for importing and exporting frozen fish.
The Chamber of Commerce Awards, awarded by the Sant Feliu de Guíxols Chamber of Commerce, have recognized Globalimar's internationalization effort this year, with the International Dynamism Award. The award, collected by the president of Globalimar Europa, S.L., Mr. Joan Mestres, values the trajectory of the company, which has opted for products from sustainable fishing sources and for food safety and quality. It also highlights that the company has been characterized by constant innovation, continued growth and that it has doubled its turnover in the last five years. In addition, the award highlights the investments planned by the company, which will allow it to increase its production capacity, meet the needs of new distant markets and open new lines of business.
Together with the Globalimar Award for international dynamism, awards were given for tourism investment, commercial dynamism, tourist tradition, commercial tradition, sustainable development, social project and tourism sustainability.
The day was framed in a colloquium on the value of talent in companies,
with Mr. Albert Corbella, National Leader of Selection by Eurofirms and Mr. Xavier Albertí, director of the food company Joaquim Albertí, S.A., as speakers, and with the participation of the many attendees at the event.
During the course of the evening, Mr. Eduard Bosch, president of the Sant Feliu Chamber of Commerce, Mr. Albert Bramon, sub-delegate of the Spanish government in Girona and Mr. Josep Polanco, director of the Serveis Territorials, spoke. of the Department of Economy and Hisenda of the Generalitat to Girona.
For Joan Mestres, this award represents "a recognition of our company's commitment, for many years, to open up to international trade and the desire to expand its activity to new markets, including the United States, Australia and Norway, in addition to All Europe".
